Government says new housing sales soar by 58% in June

MOSCOW, Jul 27 (PRIME) -- Russians signed 78,900 equity housing construction agreements in June, 58% more than in the same period in 2020, the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadaster and Cartography said in a statement on Tuesday.

Mortgage deals grew by 26% to 319,500, deals on the secondary market by 35% to 366,800.

In January–June, sales grew by 51% to 422,500.

Sales in Moscow amounted to 68,300, in the Moscow Region to 60,600, in St. Petersburg to 37,800, in the Krasnodar Region to 23,800.

Russia saw 1.9 million deals on the secondary market in the reporting period, up 35.4%. Mortgage deals amounted to 1.8 million, up 41.5%
